Dancing With Parkinson’s
Dancing With Parkinson’s creates and delivers weekly dance and movement classes for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease in several locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The classes bring participants out of isolation and into the community where they have an opportunity to benefit emotionally and physically from their Parkinsonian symptoms through dance. The evaluation explored how DWP makes a difference in the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease. A key focus was on the mechanisms of impact. Following a realist evaluation perspective, we explored the contexts and mechanisms underlying the health and social outcomes associated with Dancing with Parkinson’s.
